Privacy Policy
NoiseZ is provided by Pinestraw Enterprises (“we”). This policy explains what information the NoiseZ iOS app processes and the choices available to you.
Information we process
- Account: If you create an account, we process your email address, any display name you provide, your sign-in provider, and an account identifier. Firebase Authentication handles sign-in. The app keeps session credentials in the iOS Keychain.
- Purchases: Apple handles payments and provides purchase and entitlement information so the app can unlock premium sounds and restore purchases. We do not receive your payment card number.
- Usage: Firebase Analytics receives app interaction events, including sound selection, playback, search, timers, and purchase flow actions. These events can include a Firebase app or device identifier.
- Diagnostics: Firebase Crashlytics receives crash reports and related diagnostics, including app and device details needed to investigate problems.
- On-device data: Your sound choices, play counts, timers, and settings are stored on your device. A NoiseZ account does not sync these settings across devices.
Why we use it
We use this information to operate app features and sign-in, provide purchase access, understand app use, investigate failures, and configure the service. The current app does not contain an active advertising SDK and does not use data to track you across other companies’ apps or websites for advertising.
Service providers
Google Firebase provides authentication, analytics, crash reporting, and remote configuration. Apple provides App Store purchases and Sign in with Apple. These providers process information for those services under their own terms and privacy practices. We do not sell personal information.
Retention and deletion
Account information remains until you delete your NoiseZ account or ask us to help remove it. Use Menu → Delete Account in the app to remove the sign-in account and its profile. This does not cancel an Apple subscription or remove purchases from your Apple Account. It also does not remove settings stored only on your device; deleting the app removes that local data.
Our Google Analytics property is set to retain event data for 14 months and user data for 14 months; the user-data period resets when the user is active again. These settings do not affect most aggregated reports. Crashlytics keeps crash data for approximately 90 days before beginning deletion from its systems. Some records may be retained longer when needed for security, accounting, or legal obligations. For access, correction, or deletion requests, email support@strawpine.com. We will explain any limits on removing analytics events that cannot be linked to your account.
Your choices
You can use the free sound library without an account, decline optional device permissions, delete a NoiseZ account in the app, and manage subscriptions in your Apple Account settings. For questions about analytics data, contact us at the address above.
Security and children
We use HTTPS for network requests and the iOS Keychain for session credentials. NoiseZ is intended for a general audience and is not designed specifically for children. If you believe a child provided account information, contact us.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy as the app changes and will post the current version here with a new effective date. Contact support@strawpine.com for privacy questions or requests.
